We arrived in Lilongwe, Malawi on December 29th, 2008. It was a 2 days loooong trip from San Jose airport and we took 4 legs. Ended up we checked in a Korean Garden Lodge which was a Korean family owns.
First impression of Malawi was "GREEN, GREEN, and GREEN." I feel like standing in a golf course. Wow! the roads are paved! There are traffic signals, too! If I did not go to Chad before Malawi, this good surprise did not come to my head. I really appreciate the paved roads.
The weather is little steamy because we came from London. My bangs sticked to my forehead. The driver said that water and electricity are no problem in this town! Thank you GOD! I don't mind without taking hot bath every night like Japan or I enjoyed having bucket bath sitting in a bathtub and my husband pour water onto my head in the dark because of blackout. BUT I like SHOWER!
